In simple cases, our Operations Center may offer the possibility of coordinating a telemedical consultation, and in many cases, it will be the patient who will usually ask for that type of service, when the medical condition is considered minor. In every case, our physicians will speak in the patient’s language: English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Services Development & Legislation

Both for providing telemedicine consultations and for prescribing the necessary medication, we have made major strides to cover as many countries as possible. It is important to mention that the necessary legislation to provide this service has been uneven in many instances. In the U.S., the European Union’s 28 countries and the European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) the legislation has been adapted and our service can be provided, and we can prescribe medication complying with legal requirements. In Latin America, where each country has specific requirements and where major changes are taking place, we are developing our network on a per country basis: in every country where the legal framework to provide telemedical services has been legislated, we can provide telemedicine. We are watching closely the situation in every country in Latin America and we expect to have more countries covered by the end of 2019.
